Hairless: Require weekly baths and daily moisturizing to keep skin soft. Always use dog-safe sunscreen when outdoors.

Powderpuff: Needs daily brushing to prevent mats in their silky double coat.

Nutrition

Feed high-quality, small-breed puppy kibble. Because they are a toy breed, they have high metabolisms. We recommend 3 small meals a day to prevent hypoglycemia (low blood sugar).

Temperature

Chinese Cresteds are sensitive to cold. They should always have a sweater indoors during winter and must never be left outside. If you are cold, they are cold!

Exercise

They are "lap dogs" but love short walks and mental stimulation. They excel in agility and are surprisingly athletic for their size. Socialization is key to a confident adult dog.
